In Shantou it is mostly one village to a day, so the table runs by town and is read by village; Chenghai is the exception, where several villages keep it together on the same day. 103 places are collected here, town by town down to the village, the lunar days copied from the sources and the Gregorian converted for 2026 only.

How to read this table
Most processions in Shantou are one village to a day, so the table runs by town and the rows by village, the same way as the xieshen table. Chenghai is the exception: there several villages keep it on one day, and on the seventeenth of the first month the five Yinsha villages plus Meizhou, Qianmei in Longdu, Xucuo in Lianxia and Guanshan in Chenghua all fall together.
Chenghai has a second oddity — the same village keeping it twice. Guanshan holds the pig contest on the seventeenth and the procession on the nineteenth; Daitou in Xinan runs two days, the first with the god touring but no guests invited; Longcheng in Lianhua walks the incense boats on the first and second of the second month, across two days.
The remarks give the source. “Old practice” is the 2014 table that traced each village to its town; “2026 list” is a timetable issued before the 2026 spring festival, with clock times; “2012 post” is an earlier list of Chenghai first-month processions which gives the town but not the district, and some of its village names do not match the later tables. Where the three collide, the rows stand side by side — the table does not smooth it over.
Chaoyang, Chaonan and Haojiang are collected thinner than Chenghai. Not because there is nothing there, but because the processions of these districts have only recently been put into tables and no complete town-by-town list exists yet; what could be found is listed and the rest left blank.
The table answers “which day for which village”. For the other question — where is it on these days, how many places can I reach in one day — see the procession calendar, where the four village tables of Chaozhou, Shantou, Jieyang and Puning are laid flat by lunar day.

Sources and notes
Town attributions and the first-month days come mainly from “A list of the renao days of various places in Chaoshan”, published by the WeChat account Chaozhou Ancient City on 9 February 2014, which traces the villages of Chenghai, Chaoyang, Chaonan and Nan’ao down to district, town and village. The clock times and the sessions added for 2026 come from “Shantou 2026, streets and villages, first to twelfth of the first month”, posted by 四月人间观察日记 in February 2026. A few Lianhua, Lianxia and Dongli entries dated eleven years back are cross-checked against a 2012 “Chenghai first-month processions”. The two older posts, for Nan’ao and for Miancheng in Chaoyang, are earlier still and serve for reference only.
The Gregorian column is 2026 (bingwu) alone, converted by the Hong Kong Observatory’s table of correspondences between the Gregorian and lunar calendars. 2026 has no leap month; the thirtieth of the first month falls on 18 March, and the second month has twenty-nine days.
Shantou’s dates drift more than Chaozhou’s. Within one and the same 2026 list, the Yuepu pig contest is given as starting at eleven at night on the eighth, while the older post has it from four to eight in the morning on the eighth — a day apart. That kind of thing is settled on the spot, and a table can only give the rough shape of it.
