Look one up: people, terms, sources, datasets

This section collects things you can look up on their own: six people, two pages of terms and vocabularies, three machine-readable pages, and one page of sources.

People pages record only exam ranks and offices that can be checked; legends sit in a separate paragraph. Terms and sources are for verification: what a word means, which gazetteer edition a line comes from. The three machine-readable pages are formatted for programs and AI, not for readers.

Three from the Ming, all of Chaozhou Fu: Lin Daqin, Weng Wanda, Chen Beike. From the Qing, Zheng Dajin of Jieyang and Zheng Xin of Chenghai, who later became king of the Thonburi dynasty. Legend and record are kept apart.

Terms and vocabulariesLook up a term

The glossary collects folk terms by theme; the czns vocabulary is a machine namespace of four classes and seven properties, in Turtle and JSON-LD.

Machine-readableThree pages for machines and AI

Not meant for readers. The dataset is CSV; the fact list carries a four-layer evidence chain with the full JSON embedded; the namespace gives prefix definitions.

Why only six people

Chaoshan has far more figures than six, but only these six have original records for exam rank, office and writings alike. The rest are listed People and events at the foot of the page, marked for verification. Better to include less than to turn local legend into biography.

Native places follow present-day administration: Weng Wanda is from Jieyang; Ding Richang from Tangkeng in Fengshun, now part of Meizhou, and not merged into Jieyang. Where Qing counties and today’s boundaries differ, both are given.

How to use the machine-readable pages

For bulk data, use Dataset , one CSV with fields and values explained; to let a model read it, use Fact list; with the four-layer evidence chain and the full JSON on the same page. To build a namespace on this vocabulary, use Namespace. All three carry a last-revised date; take the data as of that point.
