Which route for which thing

  • A page is wrong — email the page, the paragraph, the source you are relying on, and what you think is wrong. Those four make it quick to check.
  • Family records, old photographs, oral accounts — read the five requirements on Contributions (in Chinese) first, then email. Material that cannot be checked is logged as a lead only and stays off the site.
  • Commercial licensing, image originals, republishing a whole page — see Commercial Use (in Chinese) and Licence (in Chinese), and state the use and the scope in your email. Copyright in the photographs is reserved; commercial use is licensed separately.
  • Planning a trip: season, route, where to stay and eat — WhatsApp is quicker than email for this.
  • Press, lectures, partnerships — email with the outlet, the date and the subject.
  • Checking where a claim comes from — Sources (in Chinese) lists the gazetteers, genealogies and interviews used, by section.

Replies usually within a week. If something needs archive work, the reply will say roughly how long. There is no front-end submission form and no comments; everything is checked before it goes up.
